My next book, another murder mystery, is currently going through editing, cover design, and production of the audio. It is due for publication worldwide in all formats on 8 March 2023. You can already pre-order it on amazon here. I am very excited. This is the first in a series, all to be set on the Isle of Wight, featuring Susan, who loves the island, a regular dog walker who finds herself investigating a murder.

NewsOn Sunday 28 March I took part in a live broadcast for the Reading Between The Lines Book Festival with fellow writer Diane Saxon. It is available to view here.
The Girl In The Missing Poster
NewsThia is a book I thoroughly enjoyed recently by one of my favourite authors. The pacing is perfect, with twists and turns all the way through. It combines brilliant plotting with complex, well-developed characters.
Stella is a wonderful protagonist: strong, determined, independent, and yet vulnerable. I loved the way she used her work as a dog behaviorist (fascinating in itself) to analyze and handle people.
A great read, highly recommended.
The Island
NewsMy next novel, The Island, is now with the editors before publication in June 2021 by Boldwood Books. It is available for pre-order on Amazon here
Like The House Party it is set on the Isle of Wight, and it starts with a suspicious death.
Keep an eye here and on my Amazon page for more news.
New cover
NewsFree to be Tegan has a wonderful new cover! It is designed by Peter O’Connor of Bespoke Book Covers, and I think it is the best yet. My debut novel has been through two self-designed covers and one previous professional version, but with cover styles changing all the time it was right to have a refresh. The paperback features on the spine the beautful Welsh poppy painted for the original cover by my sister, Janet Nicholson.
The House Party
NewsMy latest novel is published on Tuesday 21 July by Boldwood Books. It is at amazon (click on the cover above!), kobo, barnes & noble, google books, etc, as a kindle book, ebook and paperback. You can also pre-order the audiobook narrated by Karen Cass, but that will not be published until a few days after the other versions.
I hope you will enjoy the new book. It is a little different from my previous novels. It starts with a mysterious death, which the central character, Beth, finds herself investigating alone. The setting is the Isle of Wight. There have been lots of positive pre-publication reviews such as “Truly a great puzzler with a superb ending! I HIGHLY Recommend!!!” You’ll find lots of quotes on the various sales sites and you can “look inside” the book on some of them (on amazon you can look inside the pareback, but not the kindle).
